MERCEDES-BENZ GETS THE FASHION WORLD MOVING WITH THE MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK BERLIN

The impressive premiere of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July 2007 successfully established the event on the international fashion calendar – and it will be turning its catwalks over to leading fashion designers and creative young talent in 2008 as well.

Mercedes-Benz has been committed to international fashion events for many years. The brand has sponsored events from Los Angeles to Miami and Mexico to the Netherlands, the highlight being the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York, one of the four most important fashion shows in the world. It’s a commitment that makes sense – after all, elegance and design have always played a central role in the success of the Mercedes-Benz brand.

Dr. Olaf Göttgens, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars, puts it succinctly: "The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin establishes even stronger ties between our brand and the world of fashion. We are proud once again in 2008 to present in Berlin a fashion event of international standing."

Like last year, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin will be fronted by the attractive face of brand ambassador and top model Eva Padberg. And the Mercedes-Benz product portfolio will also have a new face, with the Mercedes-Benz CLC celebrating its world premiere at this glittering event.
